Saxophonist and multi-reed player Bob Sheppard has been a first-call musician in the Los Angeles and New York jazz, pop, and studio world for decades. Sheppard has been a member of the Billy Childs Ensemble and the Peter Erskine Trio for over a decade, and he spent eight years working with jazz trumpet legend Freddie Hubbard. His many jazz collaborations include tours and performances with Chick Corea´s ensemble Origin, Mike Stern, Randy Brecker, Horace Silver, Lyle Mays, Nat Adderly, and the Toshiko Akiyoshi/Tabackin Big Band. He has recorded with countless jazz artists, including Chick Corea, Freddie Hubbard, Billy Childs, Manhattan Transfer, Scott Henderson, Bill Watrous, John Beasley, Mark Isham, Bill Cunliffe, vocalist Kurt Elling, Michael Franks and Diane Reeves. As a bandleader, he recently released Close Your Eyes on the BFM Jazz label. In the pop world, his touring and performance credits in the pop world include Steely Dan, Joni Mitchell, Boz Scaggs, James Taylor, Natalie Cole, Queen Latifah, Rickie Lee Jones, Rod Stewart, Randy Newman, Stevie Wonder, Sting, and Don Henley, and he has recorded with Steely Dan, Randy Newman, Madonna, and many others.

An accomplished saxophonist, clarinetist, and flutist, Sheppard has performed over a hundred movie and television soundtracks, including the motion pictures 102 Dalmations, As Good As It Gets, Austin Powers, Dick Tracy, Father of the Bride, Forrest Gump, Glengarry Glen Ross, Good Fellas, Jerry MacGuire, Look Who's Talking Now, Lost Highway, Meet The Parents, Monsters, Inc., Nightmare Before Christmas, Rounders, Space Jam, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, The Cable Guy, The Preacher's Wife, and Toy Story, and on the television soundtracks for JAG, King of the Hill, Seinfeld, Chicago Hope, Caroline in the City, Babylon 5, Sliders, Northern Exposure, Matlock, The Thin Blue Line, The 43rd Annual Emmy Awards, The '93 Peoples Choice Awards, Married With Children, Chicago Heat, Family Ties, Cheers, Highway to Heaven, Dallas, Knots Landing, Dynasty, The Love Boat, Simon & Simon, Who's the Boss, Will & Grace, and American Idol.
